(一) 協助籌備及鼓勵市民參與各項社區活動； (二) 協助準備會議及其他會議支援工作； (三) 協助進行調查研究工作、收集民意及轉達市民意見； (四) 協助多層大廈成立居民組織(如業主立案法團)、出席居民組織會議及探訪居民組織； (五) 巡視區內大廈及搜集相關資料； (六) 協助民政事務處職員處理有關樓宇管理之事情及籌備相關活動； (七) 處理文書及輸入電腦資料； (八) 在民政諮詢中心協助民政事務處職員為市民提供服務；及 (九) 處理任何其他指定之工作。
職責
- (1)To assist in organising and promoting community activities;
- (2)To assist in preparation of meetings and other logistics support;
- (3)To assist in conducting surveys and sounding out public opinion;
- (4)To assist in formation of resident's organisations (such as owners' corporations) in multi-storey buildings, attend their meetings and pay visits;
- (5)To patrol buildings in the district and collect relevant information;
- (6)To assist District Office staff in handling matters and organising activities relating to building management;
- (7)To take up clerical and computer inputting duties;
- (8)To assist HAD staff to provide services in Home Affairs Enquiry Centre;
- (9)To handle any other assigned duties.

(b)符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第2級

(c)能操流利粵語及書寫通順中文及英文；及
(d)具有資訊科技應用知識及懂得使用文件處理軟件程式（如文件、試算表等）者會獲優先考慮。
Candidates should have -

- (b)met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2

- (c)able to communicate in Cantonese and write fluent Chinese and English; and
- (d)priority will be given to candidates with knowledge on IT applications and skills on document processing software, i.e. Word, Excel, etc.

- (2)有關科目可包括中國語文科及英國語文科。
- (3)2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙) C級及E級成績，在行政上會分別被視為等同2007年或之後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第3級和第2級成績。
